What to do After Making a Decision?
If the family decides to store the newborn stem cells in StemCord;
- The family communicates with the StemCord field professional who will serve 24 hours a day, 7 days a week before, during and after the birth.
- StemCord professional tells the family all the information about the process in detail.
- The family, who decides to keep the cord blood and/or cord tissue, has the necessary serology tests done and conveys the results to the StemCord field professional. If the results are found appropriate, the family requests the newborn stem cell collection kit.
- The family receiving the kit reads and signs the family consent form included in the kit and the relevant documents in the contract file.
- The family reports the time of birth to the StemCord professional.
- If there will be a normal delivery, the StemCord professional is informed at the time of birth and the patient goes to the hospital with the newborn stem cell collection kit delivered to the family in advance.
